Cider Ridge Golf Club is a public course, located in Oxford, Alabama, that is as ascetically pleasing as the most luxurious private club. The well-maintained greens and fairways will beckon golfers to return time and again, while the natural setting provides a sense of tranquility. Designed by professional golfer and architect, Bill Bergin, the 18 holes at Cider Ridge work with the lay of the land. The outcome is a par 72 course that is both beautiful and challenging.

Bergin wanted this course to be inviting to people of all golfing abilities. As a result, there are five sets of tees at each hole. The front tees total 5186 yards, while the yardage from the championship tees totals 6946 yards. Some golfers may want to step up their game and play from the back tees, while others may be looking for a more casual golfing experience. Regardless, there is something for everyone at Cider Ridge.

One of the first things many golfers will notice is that the course is amazingly picturesque. Marshes with elegant cattails, tall oaks, and evergreen pines line the fairways. There are rolling hills, elevation changes, and steep drop-offs across Cider Ridge, making it a workout and a golfing challenge. Water seems to be nearly everywhere, whether through the peaceful lakes, meandering creeks, or postcard-like waterfall. The greens are sloped, fast, and undulating, forcing golfers to concentrate on their short games.

Oxford is located in Alabama, between Birmingham and Atlanta. Golfers and their families will enjoy shopping through its historic downtown or eating at one of its savory restaurants. Parks are abundant with a playground, tennis courts, and even a swimming pool. Adventure seekers may try to hike through Cheaha State Park or spend some time at Oxford Lake. Whether escaping the big city, or, heading home, Oxford is a town that has a little bit of everything.

The clubhouse at Cider Ridge is modern. It includes a restaurant and a golf shop that is stocked with anything a golfer might need. The practice facility is immaculately maintained and the perfect way to warm-up before heading out on the course. For golfers wanting a few pointers or for beginners looking to learn the game, there are instructors on-site.
